The Indian customers have an obsession with the fuel efficiency of the vehicle while choosing a car. The main reason for this is the steep rise in the fuel prices occurred in the last few years. So the manufacturers are keeping this in mind while designing cars for the Indian market. The diesel cars are more fuel efficient than the petrol variants. But the maintenance and initial costs are more for the diesel cars. Bigger cars give lesser mileages. Many types of cars with decent fuel efficiencies are available in the Indian market.
