While you can’t control everything, you can take certain measures in order to maintain a good balance between your professional life and family life at home. Simplify Parenting

Being a parent is a full time job all by itself. If you have little kids, make it as simple as possible. Buy a handful of outfits from Carter’s so dressing them in the morning is never too hard. Some recipes in a crockpot are great because they don’t require a lot of attention. Work in a variety of meals so you don’t get bored, but plan weekly menus to avoid last minute scrambling.

Make Time for Yourself

With a family and career to worry about 24/7, it’s incredibly important to make time in your schedule to relax by yourself. It might be hard to get away from everything for long, but work it into your schedule. Leave your phone off and disconnect from everything. It doesn’t matter if you enjoy reading, fishing, or watching TV, always take an hour occasionally to do what you like… you deserve it.
